Alb water filter kit "Fusion + Protect" - filling filter for mobile homes and boats

The Fusion + Protect water filter kit for filling allows you to filter your water supplies directly when filling them.

Fusion combines the "Active" activated carbon filter element and the "Nano" hollow fiber membrane element. With this combination, you can turn fresh water from almost any source into safe drinking water. The set comes in a practical case for transport, so that it is always clean and ready to hand when filling up with water.
 

Filling filtering - who is it suitable for?

Filtering water when filling up is particularly suitable for travel vehicles with small water supplies. If you have to fill up every two days anyway, the risk of contamination in your own water tank is very low. In addition, a longer filling time due to the filtering is hardly significant with these quantities.

The prerequisite for healthy drinking pleasure is of course the cleanliness of the water installation in the vehicle. The tank and pipes must be clean. If clean filtered water is poured into a contaminated container, filled, the filtering was of course of no use in the end.

Water pressure must be available for the filling filter, which means that the method is suitable for travelers who fill up with water at parking spaces, supply stations or generally at any water tap.
 

Filling up without pressure

If the water supplies are to be filled without pressure, we recommend the Fusion + Protect Installation system, in which the filter elements are permanently installed behind the water tank in the vehicle. We also recommend using at least the "Nano" filter cartridge (germ filter) AFTER the tank if the water supplies are larger and therefore have a certain downtime in the water tanks. Since a water installation cannot be kept sterile, so-called post-contamination is always an issue, even with cleanly filled drinking water.

The filter stages

Activated carbon binds pollutants dissolved in the water. When filtering, a large proportion of heavy metals, drug residues and many of the numerous chemical compounds present in the water that enter through agriculture and industry are removed.

Germ filter "Nano"

The Nano filter element consists of a hollow fiber membrane made of bioplastic with a filter size of 0.1 µm. This reliably keeps bacteria, protozoa and other pathogenic germs at bay. For comparison: an E-Coli bacterium has a size of 1.5 µm.

The hollow fiber membrane still allows a good flow rate.

How long do the filters last

Depending on the water quality, we recommend changing the filter cartridges after about 4 months for Active (important because activated carbon wears out and can even become contaminated) and after 6 months for Nano. There is no need to be afraid that the bacterial filtering will no longer work. Hollow fiber membrane filters do not lose their effectiveness, they simply clog up and you can tell from the lower flow that a change is necessary.
 

Pre-filter "Protect"

To prevent the filter cartridges from becoming clogged prematurely by sediment, pipe deposits or sand, the kit contains the Protect pre-filter. It holds back larger particles and contaminants and thus protects the subsequent filter cartridges from premature clogging.
