Water filter (replacement) cartridge "Nano" for Alb Filter water filter sets

The Nano filter cartridge reliably keeps pathogenic germs out of drinking water. These include bacteria such as E-coli or Campylobacter or even salmonella, which cause severe diarrhea. Laboratory tests also prove the very good filter results for dangerous legionella and enterococci.

The Nano filter cartridge works with a highly effective hollow fiber membrane with a filter purity of just 0.1 µm. With 0.3 - Bacteria are considerably larger at 10 µm.

Long service life

The filter cartridge has an extremely long service life when used in optically clear water while simultaneously being exposed to pathogens. The filter should be changed after around 6 months. If the water is very dirty, the filter can of course become clogged sooner. The end of the service life is noticeable in the noticeably lower water flow.

To prevent the filter from becoming clogged prematurely by rust particles from water pipes, sand or other sediments, we recommend using the Protect pre-filter.

High flow rate

A common shortcoming in microfiltration of water is the lower water flow. However, the Nano filter cartridge has a bundling of the hollow fiber membrane, which, despite the finest possible efficiency, still allows a very good water flow of up to 11 L/min. Of course, this depends on the water pressure in front of the filter and the degree of contamination of the filter. Over time, the filter becomes clogged and less water comes through per minute - how quickly this happens depends on the quality of the filtered water.

Water pressure

Please note that your pump must be able to build up a certain water pressure in order to push water through the fine hollow fiber membrane - especially if a good flow is to be guaranteed at the end. See the flow diagram in the article images.

Tested and certified

The Alb Nano water filter cartridge was tested in the laboratory and certified with very good values ??according to the standard test procedure for bacteria retention ASTM F838-15-a. In addition, the retention of legionella and enterococci was tested in a separate procedure and confirmed with equally good values.

Perfect in combination

While a hollow fiber membrane filters solid bodies out of the water like a fine sieve, activated carbon binds dissolved substances to itself.
