Filter cartridge "Active" - ??activated carbon replacement filter
The Active filter cartridge consists of a sintered activated carbon core. This is able to bind chlorine, heavy metals, drug residues, pesticides and other undesirable or toxic chemicals and significantly reduce their content in the water. In addition, odors and flavors are effectively neutralized, giving the water a fresh, neutral taste. Vital minerals are retained in the water.
Service life / filter change
Regularly changing activated carbon filters is very important. Activated carbon only has a limited storage capacity and once this is reached, no further substances can be bound and there is a risk of contamination. We recommend changing the Active filter cartridge after 4 months at the latest.
Combine activated carbon and germ barrier
If water from tanks in a mobile home or boat is to be used as drinking water, activated carbon filtration should definitely be combined with another filter stage. The "Nano" filter cartridge, which acts as a germ barrier, frees the water of pathogenic germs and bacteria such as salmonella, E. coli and other dangerous pathogens. Storage time in tanks can cause small amounts of bacteria to multiply dangerously until the water is taken out for consumption.
Alb water filters and environmental protection
