Battery main switch 48V - An original tigerexped troubleshooter

Switch for disconnecting the battery from the circuit with well thought-out features.
A main battery switch offers you effective protection against discharge of the starter battery during long periods of downtime of your camper due to unwanted power consumption, standby or leakage currents. It also secures the vehicle against unauthorized use with a removable switch.
 

Space problems?

Not with the smallest battery main switch with alternator field disconnection available.

The switch, measuring of 69 x 69 mm, is suitable for both surface and panel mounting, is ISO8846 certified and therefore also approved for mounting in the engine compartment. The tigerexped battery main switch enables maximum flexibility in installation and is extremely robust with its glassfiber reinforced nylon housing.
 

Detachable switch / key function

The vehicle cannot be started with the battery switch turned OFF. The ergonomically shaped switch doubles as a key and can be removed for isolation and to protect the vehicle / boat from theft.

The main battery switch with a key to protect against unauthorized use is common on many military vehicles and is often known as a “nato bone”.

To remove the switch, simply switch to the “OFF” position, turn 30 ° counterclockwise and remove the switch. Please note: Do not turn the switch to OFF while the engine is running. Also turn off all consumers before you disconnect the battery via the switch!

Excitation field disconnection / AFD (Alternator Field Disconnect)

The exciter field shutdown protects the alternator from destructive voltage peaks that occur when large loads are accidentally switched off while the engine is running. These dangerous voltage peaks are effectively prevented by switching off the exciter field of the alternator shortly before the high load ceases.
 

Easy connection / installation instructions

The tigerexped main battery switch has removable tabs on all four sides for easy cabling. M10 cable lug connections.
