No glueing
The installation of the Scanstrut cable seals does not require the use of adhesives or sealants = no annoying smearing during assembly and no surrounding, unclean sealing joints in the finished result. With a custom-fit premium seal from 3M and stainless steel screws for closing and fastening.
The scope of delivery includes pre-drilled seals for the passage of cables with 5 mm and 6 mm (or 6 - 10 mm) (diameter, not square millimetres), two closed inserts are also included as blind plugs.
Note: With a suitable drill, the blind plugs can be drilled out for the passage of smaller cable thicknesses and, for example, for the attachment of lamps or similar. be used. However, since the closed inserts were not originally intended by the manufacturer for this purpose, we cannot assume any guarantee for unsuccessful / too large or generally drilled blind plugs and individualisations on the product. Please take the hint to be able to do this as a TIP, but be sure what you are doing and with which drill when using the blind plugs to pass cables through.
100% Waterproof
Scanstrut cable seals are developed for marine needs and are 100% dust and watertight. According to the IP68 standard, they can withstand being submerged in water for half an hour at a depth of 1.5 m (of course when using the original seals or the blind plugs).
