Diesel heater "Siberia"
A fantastically beautiful and atmospheric way to heat your vehicle or boat. This diesel stainless steel fireplace heater has everything: looks, comfort and reliability. Your ideal companion guarantees many evenings with cozy warmth and a cosy play of flames. After switching on this heater, you no longer have to worry. You set it to the desired heat and that's it. As long as there is diesel, it will burn.
Fuel consumption
No electricity is needed as gravity ensures a constant supply of fuel. If the fuel tank is lower than the heater, you can use our special 12V fuel pump. Not only does this heater offer the most stylish flames, it also has a maximum output of 1.8 kW and a minimum output of 0.3 kW. The heater is also extremely economical in consumption: 0.1 liters of diesel per hour at the lowest setting and 0.2 liters per hour at maximum output. No more hassle with wet wood that won't burn, no more getting up in the middle of the night to relight the stove, no more cold mornings because the stove went out during the night. No more dirt in the vehicle or insects crawling out of your firewood.
The great thing about this cozy stove is that you can also use it to make a stew or keep your coffee warm. Under the cover is a thick metal plate that heats up to almost 300 degrees.
Lighting the stove
Lighting this stove is very easy. You turn the tap on the side to "ON". and then set the selector switch to position 2 and you will see a small puddle of diesel forming at the bottom of the stove. Set the selector switch to zero, light a piece of igniter paper and throw it into the stove. As soon as the stove is burning steadily, turn the selector tap back to position 2 and let it warm up for 15 minutes. You can then set the stove to any power you want. We lit the stove with a little spirit (25ml), this will prevent soot. and the heating takes place faster.
Caution: Do not hold your face over the stove! Otherwise you may have to say goodbye to your eyebrows.
If the window gets a little black, you can clean it with a paper towel or a piece of kitchen paper.
Distance around the oven
A frequently asked question is about the distance to built-in features such as cupboards, etc. The necessary distance naturally depends on the materials used. Plastic is generally more sensitive to heat than wood, aluminum or stainless steel.
In general, we recommend covering the surrounding walls with an aluminum or stainless steel plate (thin sheet metal is sufficient) with an air gap of a few millimeters as insulation and a reflective screen. Air flows through the stove from bottom to top, so that it does not radiate so much from the sides, but rather most of the heat escapes upwards. You should plan for around 20cm of air around the stove body, even with a suitable wall structure; at the back where the exhaust gas is led out, it is around 10cm more, depending on the insulation. The 90° angle required for the chimney can be shortened to a minimum so that you don't lose so much room depth. A sheet metal plate like this is also recommended behind the entire exhaust pipe; an insulated exhaust pipe helps immensely not only in poor draft conditions but also in confined spaces.
Placement in the vehicle
The stove should be as low in the room as possible (low = close to the floor) in order to a) achieve an exhaust pipe length of roughly 2m (so that it draws well) and b) to suck up the cold air from the floor and heat it up. A stove 1m high is only half as much fun. A suitable roof duct for the exhaust pipe is also available in the shop. The fresh air intake for the combustion air should be placed outside and, if possible, not on the side wall where the wind is blowing in. A floor duct or something similar would be ideal.
2kW version with water heating loop
The 2kW model also has a water spiral, with which a radiator MUST be connected in a pressureless/open system (do not operate empty!). Depending on the installation location, normal gravity is sufficient or a small circulation pump must be installed in
